About Mary-Kathryn MacKenzie
When my husband and I purchased our first home, we had no idea what we were doing. We didn’t know who to ask, what to ask, or what to look for. I mean, we were simply buying a house; how hard could it be? Turns out, it can be pretty hard.
Immediately after moving into our first home, several very expensive problems surfaced. We didn’t have the budget for all of the necessary fixes, so we spent countless sleepless nights trying to figure out what to do. We begged and borrowed to take care of the issues, but then we couldn’t afford to stay in the home and had to sell at a loss.
After renting and saving for a few years, we were finally able to purchase again. Not wanting to make the same mistake, I decided to educate myself, not only for my benefit, but for the benefit of others. I didn’t want anyone to go through what my husband and I went through.
Since becoming a licenced real estate salesperson, I’ve helped many individuals and families buy and sell, and I’m thrilled to report that none of my clients have had a negative experience.
I know that the value you place on a home goes beyond a listing price or best offer; it’s about your overall experience as you get ready to enter the next chapter of your life.
